This piece is part of my current body of work, which deeply engages with my heritage and childhood memories. The concept of "Chaekgeori," a traditional Korean genre symbolizing knowledge, power, and scholarly aspirations, evokes my own journey and insecurities as a self-taught artist. Even my mother expressed doubt when I shared my dream of pursuing art full-time. Within this Hanji paper bookcase, I’ve incorporated archival prints of my original works, alongside pieces that reflect the many influences that have shaped my artistic path.
